"The destruction of our command ship has severely limited our ability to fight the empire in this sector."commander santo said"so maybe we don't fight.uh,commander santo,sir.when things got tough for me on lothal I'd go find someplace to hide."Ezra said"You are never shy with your opinions,ezra bridger,but establishing a base is a good idea."commander santo said " problem is,none of the potential bases we know of have the tactical advantage we need to protect what's left of our fleet."Hera said"or aid nearby systems from imperial oppression."Kanan added"we can't help others if we can't help ourselves,Kanan.if only we had more allies."Hera said casting a look towards spectre-8 " I know someone who might be able to help us.A great military commander with a vast knowlage of the outer rim.he could assist us in finding a base,and his experienced leadership would make him a powerful ally."and hookahi said"How do we recruit this leader?"commander santo asked"That's the problem.I lost track of him a long time ago,and all my transmissions have gone unanswered."ahsoka replied"We can find him.let us try."Ezra said "Well,there is one option I've not yet attempted."ahsoka said

Chopper grumbled as he backed away from a console  Sabine and ashley sat down in the chairs Ezra had a silent little miniature argument with ashley but of course ashley won it with sabine casting a look at Ezra telling him to back off Ahsoka walked in to the Ghost's cockpit with a droid head"Is that the head of a old tactical droid?"Kanan asked as Ahsoka placed it in Sabine's hands"These droid's were great at finding things,calculating.Found my master and I am few times when we didn't want to be found."Ahsoka said"How in all the galaxy is that droid going to find your friend?"Ezra asked in disbelief as the they looked at the droid head chopper grumbled annoyed at the comment " Well,I heard he was last seen in the seelos system.you can start there."Ahsoka replied "You're not coming with us?"Ezra asked"I have something else to attend to."Ahsoka replied " The sith lord."Kanan said"there are questions,questions that need answering."Ahsoka said"I wish we could go with you."Ezra said"You have your own mission,Ezra.And,Kanan,if you find my friend you must trust him."Ahsoka said"if he's all the things you say,we can't afford not to."Kanan said " Trust him."Ahsoka said before the door closed"what was that about?"Ezra asked"I have no idea."Kanan replied

Meanwhile

"You're awfully quiet spectre-8."zeb said spectre-8 paid no attention to him he walked over to where she was sitting and knocked on her helmet " you alive in there spectre..."zeb started saying before spectre-8 winced and swatted his hand away "you big idiot I'm not used to having these on my head they're sensitive!"she hissed " jeez Meili,no need to get so mad at me I was only checking to see if you were still alive in that bucket of yours."zeb said defensively "didn't Hera*ouch*ever tell you it's a bad idea to touch a twi-lek's lekkus?"Meili asked taking her helmet off " Sorry."zeb said"i haven't had these my entire life like Hera has zeb  so really I'd prefer not hating apart of my body."Meili hissed zeb backed away

Later the ghost got out of hyperspace alarms went off as the console sparked chopper grumbled " We get all the way to seelos,and now you tell me the hyper drive wasn't completly fixed?"Hera yelled chopper grumbled " You finished the important repairs?how did you define "important"?"Hera yelled " What's going on?"Kanan asked " chopper and Meili and I are staying here.to clean up his mess!"Hera replied meili sat in the chair beside her and shook her head sighing chopper grumbled" take the Phantom.Hopefully we'll be ready to go by the time you get back."Hera said Kanan went down the ladder Meili folded her arms " you know Hera I was really looking forward to meeting this great commander in person down there."Meili pouted " you seem to be in a grumpy mood and I don't think it's to do with chopper."Hera said " zeb knocked on my helmet it really hurt my lekkus."Meili said with a sigh as she sat back Hera sighed

Meanwhile

"Well,let's fire this thing up."Sabine said as she placed the tactical droid head in front of Kanan"I think it's scanning for some kind of signal."Sabine said " good luck.you could really get lost out here."Ezra said ashley elbowed her " Maybe that was the idea.what if this great commander we're looking for doesn't want to be found?"zeb chimed in the droid head made a noise"7567.7567."the head said over and over again " It's homing in on something."Sabine said zeb pushed them out of the way slightly"There,up ahead."zeb said " zeb I don't want your bad smell in that close proximity to me."ashley said " whoa."Ezra said"Now that is a work of art."Sabine said " Looks like an old Republic tank,used during the Clone Wars."Kanan said"and they sure had good taste in design unlike the empire which honestly aren't as creative."ashley joked they landed behind the walker " Ezra,ashley, be on your guard."Kanan said  before walking away from the two " What do you think he means by that?"ashley asked"not a clue."Ezra replied three men walked out of the back of the walker " It's just a bunch of old geezers."zeb scoffed " Well-armed old geezers."Sabine said"what do you want?"the first man asked"we're looking for someone."Kanan replied"Well, that's too bad, 'ecause there's nobody out here."the man said"hey,uh,does the number 7567 mean anything to you?"Ezra asked"what did you just say?!"the man asked aggressively "He said 7567."ashley replied"I haven't heard those digits in...well,that's my birth number."the man said"birth number?"Ezra and ashley said in unison " They're clones."Kanan said as he stepped forward and engaged his lightsaber " Kanan,wait,stop!"Ezra said " jedi.they've come for revenge."another clone said as he fired off two shots Kanan deflected them zeb and sabine and ashley aimed their blasters at them " drop the blaster,old man!"Zeb growled "Don't try it,boyo!I'll gun you down."another one said"stand down, troopers.Now!That's an order,soldier."the first one said " But he's a jedi.A jedi!"the second one said"I know.I know.But they weren't the ones that betrayed us.remember?Wolffe,remember?"the first man said"Kanan,Ahsoka said to trust them."Ezra said"sorry about the,um,weapons malfunction.My friend here is just a little defensive. See,we haven't seen a jedi since,uh...well, it's been a while."the first man said Emily walked past Kanan he turned off his lightsaber " Well,my name's Ezra.this is Kanan.and that's Sabine,ashley and Zeb. It's nice to meet you, 7567."Ezra said " actually my name is Rex. Captain,501st clone battalion,meet commanders Gregor and Wolffe."Rex said"we were sent by Ahsoka tano."Ezra said " Ahsoka tano. I fought by her side from the battle of christophsis to the siege of mandalore. And a friend of hers is a friend of mine."Rex said

They got inside " Hey.You're a bug one.aren't you?"Gregor asked"bigger than you."zeb replied Ezra picked up a clone helmet " whoa."Ezra said"hey,hey. Easy with those."Rex said"oh,yeah,yeah.i might move the dust."Ezra said as he put the helmet back down " How is commander tano?"Rex asked"uh,we'll,in need of help.we all are.look,we're trying to  fight the empire.but we're overmatched and taking a beating.we could use your help."Ezra said"well,I'm not sure I'm much help to anyone these days.didn't you hear?the emperor said the Clone army has outserved it's purpose and retired us.now we spend our days just telling stories and slinging for joopas."Rex said"she's was a wasted trip.you heard the Clone.he's not interested."Kanan said"Wait.you don't like the empire,do you?"ashley asked"well,the empire certainly isnt the Republic but it seems I'm probably talking to some random clones right in front of me and I ain't talking about Wolffe and gregor."Rex replied"first of all not clones we're just sisters and second of all you've gone way off subject Rex!"ashley hissed Ezra put a arm in front of her"well,okay.okay,then maybe there's something you could help us with.we need a base.ahsoka said you knew all sorts of secret locations in the outer rim."Ezra said"well,my memory isn't what it once was,but,um,there are a few spots I never bothered to report to the empire.look why don't you wait outside and I'll put together a list of coordinates."Rex said as they walked out " Listen,they are in some kind of trouble.if we help them,we are putting ourselves in danger."Wolffe said Wolffe, relax.we got the situation under control.oh,really?really?what do you think the empire will do to us if they find out we are helping a jedi,hmm?"Wolffe asked"yeah I don't know what the empire would do,but I'm going slinging."Gregor replied

"You know,I was thinking,since we're providing you with a list of bases,um,there's something you can do to help us."Gregor said"No,thanks."Kanan said " Sure. what can we do?"Ezra asked " out there,deep below,roam the joopa.Elusive big game.when we're lucky enough to sling one in,it'll feed us for a whole year."Gregor replied"ok at.what do you need?"Sabine asked " him."Gregor replied pointing at zeb " huh?what?"zeb said confused 

"Commander,we've received a binary transmission from an old clone unit on seelos.something about a jedi."a officer said"what system is remote."agent kallus said " haven't all the clones been decommissioned?"agenydmiral Constantine asked"yes and while the clones number checks out,he has a record of calls of delusional distress."the officer replied"i wouldn't take him seriously."admiral Constantine said"send a probe to investigate.all leads must be pursued."kallus said

Kanan is inside the Phantom checking his lightsaber " Ok.you don't trust these clones.but they haven't done anything."Ezra said"You don't understand they're dangerous. they could..."Kanan said"They could what?Rex doesn't seem bad at all.ahsoka said to trust him.you trust her,don't you?"Ezra asked"you weren't there.you weren't even born."Kanan said"what are you talking about?"Ezra asked"I don't feel like discussing it."Kanan said Emily began to walk away"It was at the end,the end of the war.our fellow soldiers,the clones,the ones we jedi fought side by side with,suddenly turned and betrayed us.i watched them kill my master.she fought beside them for years,and they gunned her down in a second,and them came for me.later they said they had chips in their heads that made them do it.said they had no choice."Kanan said"I didn't betray my jedi.wolffe,Gregor and I all removed our control chips.we all have a choice."Rex said before walking away " Well,for what it's worth,I believe we can trust Rex."Emily said"You know Ezra every day I'm starting to see a connection griwing between you and ashley more and more every day"Kanan said"i'm aware of that Kanan i do have charm."Ezra said slyly before walking off

Zeb was walking infront of the AT-TE"If we're lucky,we'll catch big bongo today."Gregor said"let's get this over with . I'm getting hungry."zeb said " keep on going forward.just a little bit more.we're coming up on a hot spot!"Gregor said"Your hot spot looks like everywhere else on this desolate rock."zeb said before a sound like an explosion was heard Sabine gasped " out there."sabine said"all right,full stop."Rex said Wolffe stopped the walker in its tracks " all right. Just a little bit more.little more."Gregor said"oh,really?"zeb grumbled " You know,we really appreciate this. I mean,we,we should should do well today,with you're friend here."Gregor said"yeah, well, Zeb packs quite a punch."Ezra said"oh,oh,Hahahaha,I'm sure,I'm sure.but really,I mean joopa supposedly love lasats."Gregor said"They love them?"Sabine said confused"what do you mean?"ashley asked"well,they say they love the smell,or I guess they love the taste as well.and maybe it's about the texture.you know..."Gregor replied " Wait,Zeb's not the Hunter. he's the bait."Ezra said"oh,Hunter,bait,it's all the same."Gregor said"No, it's not!Zeb,you better get back here right now!"Kanan said " zeb what us that?"Sabine asked " buddy,run!You're the bait!Zeb,it's gonna eat you!"Ezra yelled " Oh Karabast."zeb grumbled "zeb run!"Kanan  yelled " get outta there!"ashley yelled " What are you doing?"Kanan asked " run!"Sabine yelled zeb got grabbed by the joopa zeb,no!"Ezra yelled before zeb was pulled into the ground"whoo-hoo!this could be him!our big bongo!"Gregor said"hey,I bet you know a thing or two about mechanics."Rex said"yeah, good bet."Sabine replied " keep an eye on this regulator.the line can overheat and shut down.no line.no joopa.no zeb."Rex said"got it."sabine said as she got to work " Well,what about me and him?"Ezra asked"you got the best job of all!when the line swings around,you'll charge it with the electropoles.hit the line with the rod,and it'll send a bolt of energy down to the joopa.Do it enough,and you should bring it up to the surface.heres one for you,general."Gregor said"don't call me that.i was never a general."Kanan said"uh,my mistake.sorry,commander."Gregor said"No,it's not..."Kanan growled " hit it!now!"Rex said Kanan and ezra hit the line ashley was trying to maintain balance but failing the joopa started going faster " That's it,that's it.ooh!he didn't like that!hit him again!"Gregor said Ezra and Kanan hit the line again"he's a runnin'.hit that line!bring him up."Rex yelled Sabine climbed on top of the gun " we're losing the regulator."Sabine yelled"Full stop,Wolffe!dig in!this is where we finish the battle!"Rex yelled the walker stopped " whoa."Ezra exclaimed almost falling but Ashley wasn't so lucky she fell forward her helmet flying off in the process  she held on to the railing " a little help here!"ashley yelled Gregor helped her up"i can't reach it!Kanan,lift me up!Sabine!"Ezra yelled as Kanan lifted her up higher " I know,I know.working on it!"Sabine yelled the front of the walker got lower " got it."sabine said"Ezra?"Kanan yelled as he picked up the other rod with his foot and threw it to Ezra,he caught it and hit the line with both rods the joopa emerged

"Go."Kanan said as Ezra  jumped off his shoulders " it is big bongo!"Gregor said Rex shot it and it fell they ran to the side of the walker and heard muffled coughing " What a smell."zeb complained " Ah,zeb!"Ezra yelled " Nice catch old timers."Sabine said Rex did a salute " um ashley, your where's your helmet?"Ezra asked Ashley checked her head and noticed it wasn't there she immediately began having a panic attack Ezra grabbed her by her shoulders " Sabine find ashley's helmet she's panicking again!"Ezra yelled Sabine noticed ashley's helmet on the ground she got down and picked it up and came up again but Ashley had already passed out " Oh great."Sabine said Ezra held the now unconscious ashley

"Clones,huh?Ahsoka's always full of surprises."Hera said"well,don't get your hopes up.the great leaders not coming back with us."Kanan said a crash was heard along with ranting " I'm going to guess that wasn't chopper."Kanan said " Meili overheard you saying that and she was real Mad earlier after some things happened so now she's twice as mad."Hera said " anyway signal when you're on route."Hera said before the communication ended Kanan left the Phantom the probe droid entered the Phantom and began pressing buttons " I've assembled a list of potential bases and clearance codes and a few protocols the Imperials still use.should be of some use."Rex said"thank Rex."Ezra said " They're on out main computer.you're gonna need..."Rex said"data tapes?I got this anyway I gotta check on ashley anyway."Sabine said as she walked inside " you were brave today,kid.you jumped right in there to help.a great jedi once told me that the best leaders lead by example.you do that we'll."rex said"thank.me and ashley learned from a great jedi too.kanan."Ezra said"Mmm.you know,I don't think he likes me.or ever will.cant say I blame him.the war left it's scars on all of us."Rex said"don't you reconsider joining us?"Ezra asked"you know,I've outserved my purpose for that kind of fighting,I've made afraid.after the war,I've made questioned the point of the whole thing.all those men died, and for what?"Rex said"i guess what they thought was right."Ezra said

"Huh sleeping peacefully that's a nice thing to see at least you're getting sleep that's what matters."Sabine said to herself as she looked at ashley before checking the main computer before she saw a data pad"the clones gave us up.they warned the empire we're here."Sabine said as she walked out " Wait, what?"Ezra said confused " You're mistaken.we would never do that."Rex said"oh I found the binary transmission to the empire.and there are messages Ahsoka sent to Rex and he never answered her!"Sabine said"what?I never got any messages from commander tano."Rex said as he grabbed the pad off sabine " I knew it!I told you,they can't be trusted."Kanan said " Kanan,wait.is this true?"Ezra asked " Wolffe.what did you do?"Rex asked"i... I contacted the empire.if they found out we were helping jedi,they'd wipe us out."Wolffe said"sabine,go warn Hera and Meili.tell them to scan for incoming ships."Kanan said sabine nodded before she ran off " I wanted to protect you guys,protect our squad."Wolffe said"the war is over.we are free men.we can't live under the fear of the empire for the rest of our lives,Wolffe.that's not freedom."Rex said"You really right.they're not our enemy.i'm sorry."Wolffe said

"A probe?"Sabine said confused the probe turned and fired at her " Kanan!"Sabine yelled Kanan got up to the top but the droid took shots at him and missed but hit the Phantom's thruster " Oh,my.look out!"Gregor said"probes!I hate probes!"Zeb exclaimed as they dived to the ground " Rex.you gotta make this right."Ezra said as she threw Rex a rifle he shot the probe " Yes."Emily said"huh nice shot."Sabine said"i'm going to go check on ashley."Ezra said as he ran inside

'How long has this thing been watching us?"Ezra asked " long enough.hows the Phantom?"Kanan asked"well,engine took a direct hit.we're not going anywhere until I can fix it."sabine said"Wait.you mean we're stranded?"zeb asked"yeah. And the empires on its way."Rex replied
